Suspected Herdsmen Kill Catholic Priest, Abduct 2 Others In Benue

Unknown gunmen suspected to be fulani herdsmen have killed a Catholic priest in Benue state.

The catholic clergy who is an indigenous Catholic Priest of Tyoshin and current Priest in Charge of St. Theresa’s Catholic Parish Jimba was today shot and killed at the spot along Makurdi – Naka road.

Trendiwiki learned that the priest identified as Rev. Fr. Solomon Atongu, was killed while returning to his duty station.

It is reported that, the Rev. Fr. Solomon Atongu, was in company of two occupants, whose identities are yet known.

After shooting and thinking they have killed him, the suspected herdsmen abducted the remaining persons to an unknown destination.

As at the time of this report, the news about their whereabouts is yet heard.
