Navy Captain Omoniyi Caleb Olubolade, a distinguished soldier, community development enthusiast, and former Administrator of Bayelsa State, has died after slumping during a lawn tennis play-time in Lagos.
Born on November 30, 1954, in Ipoti-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Olubolade served as the third Governor of Bayelsa State from June 27, 1997, to July 9, 1998, and later became the Minister of Police affairs under the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
His death has left a void in the lives of those who knew him and worked with him.
