A team of AATS, South West District has arrested two drug peddlers namely Patrik S/o Udeagha R/o 2E, Pound Road Extension, ABA, Abia State, Nigeria and present address Maidangarhi, Delhi, Age 47 years & Shashi Kant Ravindra Prabhu @ Pappu S/o Ravindra Prabhu R/o Santoshi Niwas Nerur Kudal, District Sindhu Durga, Maharashtra, Age 42 years.
With their arrest, total 354 grams MDMA drugs (total 769 XTC tablets) worth Rs. 30 lacs & a NTORQ scooty used for supply of drugs recovered from their possession.
INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION:
A special drive against Drug Peddlers and Suppliers is being continuously carried out in the South-West District to make Delhi drug free. A dedicated team comprising SI Manish Kumar, ASI Jaipal, ASI Dharmender, ASI Vinod, HC Mohit, HC Deepak Kumar, HC Narender, HC Hari Om & HC Prashant was constituted under the leadership of Insp. Ram Kumar, IC/AATS/SWD and overall supervision of Sh. Vijay Kumar, ACP/Operations South-West District, Delhi to identify and arrest the criminals with a special focus on nabbing the supply chain of Narcotics Drugs & contraband substances. The team also patrols and performs picket checking in the area during odd hours to keep a random check on such illegal activities.
On 26.04.2025, the team received an information about two drug suppliers. Acting swiftly on the secret information, team apprehended the two suspects on Ntorq Scooty near E-2 Cut Mahipalpur, Delhi. The alleged were identified as Patrik S/o Udeagha R/o 2E, Pound Road Extension, ABA, Abia State, Nigeria and present address Maidangarhi, Delhi, Age 47 years & Shashi Kant Ravindra Prabhu @ Pappu S/o Ravindra Prabhu R/o Santoshi Niwas Nerur Kudal, District Sindhu Durga, Maharashtra, Age 42 years. On their cursory search, total 354 Grams MDMA drugs (total 769 tablets of Fine Quality MDMA) were recovered. They admitted to selling MDMA Tablets in Delhi and NCR. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 204/2025, u/s 21 NDPS Act was registered at PS Vasant Kunj South & both the accused persons are arrested in the case.
MODUS OPERANDI:
Accused Patrik came to India in 2008 through Business Visa and he stayed in India even after expiry of his Business Visa. Initially, Patrik started acting in the Bollywood movies. Initially the accused Patrik started consuming heroine in small quantity. In 2019, he was arrested when he was found in possession of heroine. He remained in jail for a period of 3 years. He met other drug suppliers in the jail. The lust of earning easy money effortlessly corrupted his mind and he started making daydream of becoming the kingpin of the MDMA and other drugs nexus of the Delhi NCR area. After returning from jail, he started supplying MDMA tablets and he decided to supply in large quantities and to fulfil his dream, he made Shashikant Ravindra Prabhu @ Pappu as his accomplice for supply of drugs. Shashikant Ravindra Prabhu @ Pappu is a carrier who used to supply the drugs. Both the accused used to do recee first at those places where they decide to supply drugs to their customers so that police could not catch them. Ultimately, they have been arrested along with huge amount of MDMA drugs which has market value of worth Rs 30 Lakhs approx.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED ARRESTED:
1. Accused Patrik is permanent resident of Nigeria. He is previously involved in case FIR No. 148/19, U/s 21 NDPS Act PS Tilak Nagar, Delhi.
2. Accused Shashikant Ravindra Prabhu @ Pappu was born and brought up in Maharashtra. Initially he started to supply the drugs & arrested in a huge recovery of Charas by NCB Mumbai. After releasing from Jail, he came in contact of Patrik. Accused Shashikant Ravindra Prabhu @ Pappu is previously found involved in similar crime.
RECOVERY:
1. Total 354 grams MDMA drugs (total 769 XTC tablets of MDMA) worth Rs. 30 lacs
2. One NTORQ scooty used for supply of drugs.
The case is a significant bust of a foreign-linked narcotics supply chain and disrupted mid-level operations in the capital.
Further investigation regarding the source & supply chain of drug supplier (Narcotics Substance) is under progress.
