In the wake of E-Money’s EFCC invitation, celebrity barman Cubana Chief Priest has taken to social media to issue a stern warning to fellow public figures: stop spraying money at events.
In a message shared on May 1st, 2025, he wrote:
“If you are a well known businessman with address, please don’t spray money. EFCC are not joking on this. If you already have an invitation letter from the EFCC, please go and honor it. For now, spraying of money don cast for we wey dey popular. I nearly go jail last year. Me I no go ever spray again—whether dollar, euro, naira or pounds.”
He added that he’s now focused on finding new ways to make a statement at events, without risking arrest. His message is clear: with EFCC now cracking down on naira abuse, celebrities and socialites should be cautious.
“If you spray money, EFCC must come for you. Happy new month fam. Avoid wahala.”
Cubana’s post has sparked conversations online, especially among those who see public spraying of money as a core part of Nigerian celebration culture. However, with regulatory agencies stepping in, it seems the era of money rains may be coming to an end.
