Philanthropist and UNGA Host Cuppy Just Established a University Hardship Fund at King’s College London and Released Her 2024 Foundation Report

Florence Otedola, widely known as Cuppy, is demonstrating that her dedication to philanthropy matches her passion for music. The producer, DJ, and activist is making headlines with her latest announcement: launching a Hardship Fund at King’s College London and publishing The Cuppy Foundation’s 2024 Report.

Cuppy’s commitment to education is deeply personal. As she states in the Report, “Education has always been a cornerstone of my journey.” Having recently completed a summer program at the London School of Economics, she understands the importance of financial support in academic success. This is why The Cuppy Foundation provides relief to African students, helping them overcome financial obstacles and thrive in their studies.

The King’s College London Hardship Fund is the latest in a series of initiatives designed to ease financial burdens for African students. It follows the successful launch of The Cuppy Africa Oxford Scholars Fund at Oxford University and The Cuppy Africa Steinhardt Scholars Fund at New York University, which provide essential financial support for students’ living expenses, family support, and disability-related needs.

The Cuppy Foundation 2024 Report highlights a year of significant achievements and growing global influence. The Foundation’s work now extends beyond Africa, with partnerships ranging from continued collaborations with the United Nations and Save the Children to engagements with The King’s Trust.

Key Highlights from the 2024 Impact Report:
• Save the Children Partnership: Continuing a five-year commitment to education, nutrition, child protection, and sexual reproductive health programs in Northern Nigeria, impacting thousands of children and adults in 2024.
• UNGA Leadership: Cuppy played a pivotal role at the 79th UNGA, chairing the opening session for the United Nations Youth Office and performing at the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Moment Event.
• King’s Trust Ambassador: As a King’s Trust Celebrity Ambassador, Cuppy supported initiatives like “Change A Girl’s Life,” participated in the grand final of the Prince’s Trust Awards with Ant & Dec.
• Global Advocacy: She partnered with Procter & Gamble (P&G) at the Global Citizen Festival to champion African clean water initiatives.

The 2024 Impact Report is a testament to The Cuppy Foundation’s commitment to positive change. Looking ahead to 2025, Cuppy remains dedicated to empowering even more African youth through education and strategic partnerships. With relentless determination, The Cuppy Foundation is poised to leave an even more significant impact in the years to come.
