The spokesperson of the Senate, Senator Yemi Adaramodu on Monday said he cannot ask the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio to step down for a thorough, independent investigation over the ongoing dispute between the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and the lawmaker representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Adaramodu who spoke on Arise TV also declined comment on claims by Senator Ireti Kingibe that Natasha informed her Akpabio asked her to meet him at a hotel.
When asked by the anchor if he will support an independent probe which requires Akpabio to step down, Adaramodu said his voice on the matter is inconsequential.
“My voice does not matter. It is the voice of the total Senate that matters in that. My voice does not matter in it. We will ask that question from the whole Senators, 108 of us”.
