Trump's Invitee, Jim Okolo Meets With Youth Minister Ahead Of Departure

A UN accredited election observer and MD/CEO Jimez Petroleum Resources Limited, Hon. Chief Jim Okolo Chimezie has met with the Nigeria’s Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande in his office in Abuja where the duo had a fruitful engagement on harnessing the potentials of young people for nation-building.

The international election observer is leading high powered Nigeria’s delegation to Trump’s inuaguration happening in Washington on 20th January as all eyes turn to United States of America.

This is one of the high profile meetings Hon. Okolo has engaged with in last couple of weeks. In December, he met with political officers and top officials of US embassy in Abuja, seeking to foster close collaboration with US in subsequent local and international elections.

It also comes ahead of a planned National youth confab expected to hold on the first quarter of this year, which has since gained President Bola Tinubu’s endorsement.

At the meeting with the Honourable Minister on Monday at the ministry’s headquarters, Hon. Okolo congratulated him for representing the true energy, creativity and productivity which Nigerian youths stand for.

According to Hon. Okolo, his outstanding demeanor was what earned him elevation to a substantive Minister from Minister of State, commending him for utilizing the rare opportunity to showcase the capacity young people have in adding value to national development.

He also commended the Minister for several initiatives he has introduced to benefit young Nigerians, especially youth corps members who are now allowed to serve in private firms.

Hon. Okolo expressed readiness to support the Minister to achieve the robust mandate he has set to record.

In his comment, the Minister Ayodele Olawande thanked Hon. Okolo for all he has been doing in advancing democratic culture in Nigeria and beyond. As he seeks his involvement in the committee planing of the much anticipated national youth confab.

He also thanked Hon. Okolo for his roles in ensuring effective representation for Nigeria in the last year presidential election in the United States.
