Peter Obi Visits College Of Nursing Sciences, Mbano, Imo, Donates ₦10 Million

Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, has reaffirmed his commitment to education and healthcare development by donating ₦10 million to the College of Nursing Sciences, Mbano, Imo State.

Speaking during the presentation over the weekend, Obi commended the institution’s impressive growth, transitioning from a School of Nursing to a full-fledged College of Nursing Sciences. He praised its contributions to society by producing skilled nurses and midwives.

Obi emphasized the importance of supporting educational and healthcare institutions, particularly during challenging times. He reiterated his call for increased government funding to these sectors instead of diverting resources into non-essential expenses.

“Investing in education and healthcare will help us build an educated and healthy population capable of driving national development and moving our nation from consumption to production,” he said.

Obi also expressed gratitude to all those working to improve Nigeria’s education and health sectors, highlighting their vital role in creating the “New Nigeria” he envisions.

The College’s management expressed appreciation for the financial support, noting its potential to further the institution’s growth and impact.
