Following the change in leadership at the Force Criminal Investigation Department, FCID Annex Alagbon Lagos, Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Augustina N. Ogbodo has officially taken over from AIG Ogundele Ayodeji as the new AIG Force CID Annex Lagos.
In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Assiation of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by Force CID Annex Lagos PPRO, ASP Mayegun Aminat stated that, “AIG Augustina N. Ogbodo, PSC, has officially assumed office as the 53rd Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Lagos.
AIG Ogbodo, a distinguished and highly respected officer in Nigerian policing, takes over from AIG Ogundele J. Ayodeji, under whose dynamic leadership the FCID Annex Lagos achieved significant progress.”
According to the statement, “A native of Enugu South Local Government Area in Enugu State, AIG Ogbodo makes history as the first female officer to head the FCID Annex Lagos, before her promotion to AIG, she was CP Ebonyi State with outstanding performances, prior to this appointment, she served as the Assistant Inspector General in charge of the Maritime Police Command at the Force Headquarters Annex, Obalende.
Her tenure there was marked by her unyielding stance against corruption, harassment, and misconduct, ensuring the maintenance of high professional and ethical standards within the maritime sea economy.”
“AIG Ogbodo holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, as well as a Diploma in Police Science from the Staff College, Jos.Throughout her career, she has attended numerous professional development courses and served in various police Commands/Formations across the country.”
