Alex Otti Renames Abia State Polytechnic After Late Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu

Governor Alex Otti has renamed the Abia State Polytechnic in Aba after Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, the first executive governor of Abia State, Igbere TV reports.

The decision is a tribute to Dr. Onu’s pivotal contributions to the state, including the establishment of the polytechnic in 1992 during his tenure.

Dr. Onu, a revered statesman, was celebrated for his commitment to good governance and democratic values.

Following his passing, Governor Otti joined other leaders in expressing condolences, praying for the late governor’s eternal rest and for strength for his family in their loss.

The renaming of the institution stands as a lasting acknowledgment of Dr. Onu’s legacy and his foundational role in shaping Abia State’s development.
