The Senate Minority Caucus led by Senator Abba Moro (PDP Benue South) and the Committee on Army, chaired by Senator Abdulaziz Yar’Adua (APC Katsina Central), have joined other individuals and groups to mourn the demise of the late Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja.
According to a statement issued on behalf of the Senate Minority Caucus, Moro described the late COAS as a gallant and successful officer who gave his all to the country and died in active service.
The statement, signed by the Media Adviser to the Senate Minority Leader, Emmanuel John said that Gen. Lagbaja’s time as Chief of Army Staff saw a great push against terrorism, banditry and kidnapping that are plaguing the country
