50 Cent Says He Rejected $3million Offer To Perform At Trump Rally

American rapper, Curtis James Jackson III known professionally as 50 Cent, says he turned down a $3 million offer to perform at Donald Trump’s New York rally.

Despite previously expressing admiration for the former president, the rapper revealed on The Breakfast Club that he “got a call” asking him to perform his track “Many Men (Wish Death)” at the Republican national convention for a similar fee.

“I didn’t talk to them about that kinda stuff. I’m afraid about politics,” he said.

The 2003 song “Many Men (Wish Death)”, inspired by the rapper’s near-fatal shooting in 2000, recently saw a resurgence among Trump supporters and hit the top 10 on iTunes.

“He says ‘fight’,” Jackson said about Trump last month. “All right. And that’s exactly what I did after I got shot. I just went into fight mode. People identify with it that way.”

Earlier this year, he also wrote on social media, “I think Trump’s gonna be president again, but I’m not going to say that.”

Trump’s rally, held at Madison Square Garden, drew criticism after comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s racially charged jokes.

Following Hinchcliffe’s remarks about Puerto Rico, celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez and Bad Bunny publicly supported Kamala Harris in her campaign for president.
