Cross River State Governor, Prince Bassey Edet Otu, has presented the 2025 budget proposal amounting to N498 billion, titled “Budget of Sustainable Growth.”
This budget emphasizes capital projects, reflecting the state’s commitment to long-term economic development and infrastructure enhancement.
Capital expenditure, which dominates the budget with an allocation of N328 billion (66% of the total), is geared towards major infrastructure projects designed to stimulate economic growth and enhance living standards.
Meanwhile, N170 billion (34%) is earmarked for recurrent expenditure, aimed at supporting the functioning of government institutions, staff salaries, and other essential public services.
As the budget proposal heads to the legislature, more detailed allocations and specific projects are expected to be disclosed.
