Group Aims to Feed Underprivileged Individuals Across Nigeria, Starting with Owerri, Imo State

 

OWERRI, IMO STATE – In a bid to combat hunger and poverty, Good Food For A Day Foundation has launched a nationwide feeding initiative, with a community feeding which held on Monday October 28, 2024, in Owerri, Imo State.

Good Food For A Day Foundation’s mission is centered on fostering improved health and well-being.

 

Mobilizing well-meaning Nigerians and local community to support and contribute towards feeding programs encouraging a collective approach to combating hunger.

 

The foundation which is built on collective responsibility, recognizing the need to combat hunger and poverty in Nigeria.

 

“The foundation aims to continue organizing this feeding programs every three to six months, moving across the country in alphabetical order to make a nationwide impact,”

 

Speaking shortly after the exercise, the founder Elvis Chibuzor revealed that the inaugural feeding program catered for over 250 people in need on the streets of Owerri.

 

He said this initiative has come to stay as the Foundation will continue to reach all 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory.

 

To support the launch, Good Food For A Day Foundation is calling on volunteers to join the team. The foundation also seeks content creators, video editors, bloggers, and social media enthusiasts to contribute their skills and amplify its impact.

 

The organization welcomes support from the community, including ideas, prayers, and goodwill messages. It also seeks advocates to help increase engagement on its social media platforms, drawing a wider audience and potential sponsors.

 

“We believe that everyone deserves access to nutritious food, and we are committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of those less fortunate,” Chibuzor said. “We invite everyone to join us in this mission – whether by volunteering, spreading the word, or providing resources.”
