Former Minister, Betta Edu Breaks Silence After Tinubu’s Cabinet Reshuffle

Former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, recently shared her thoughts following her removal from President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.

During her 38th birthday celebration in Abuja, Edu expressed optimism for Nigeria’s future and confidence in Tinubu’s leadership.

Addressing her well-wishers, Edu emphasized her faith that the current administration will eventually lead Nigerians to better living conditions.

Edu also used the occasion to thank those who supported her and the youth initiatives she championed, saying she believes that with patience, “things will begin to get better” for Nigerians.

Her comments come shortly after presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga confirmed Edu’s permanent exit from the cabinet, stating that her role had been filled by Nentawe Yilwatda.

“Betta Edu is gone. She was suspended in January, and this is October. She is gone. Her position has been taken over by somebody else… that is the man from Plateau state (Yilwatda).

“As far as this government is concerned, there is no longer a place for her in that cabinet,” Onanuga told Channels TV.
