Gov Otti Honours Victorious Abia Paralympic Athletes

 

Umuahia – Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, yesterday received and honoured the state’s Paralympic athletes who won gold and silver medals at the recently concluded Paralympic Games in Paris, France.

According to Ferdinand Ekeoma, Media Aide to the Governor, Governor Otti was “elated at the feats achieved by these patriotic Abians who found ability in their disabilities to make Abia and Nigeria proud.”

 

The governor’s recognition of the athletes is part of his administration’s efforts to celebrate Abia’s sportsmen and women, while providing necessary support for them to excel nationally and internationally.

 

Governor Otti stated that his administration will continue to “recognise and celebrate Abia sportsmen and women at all levels” and intensify efforts to provide platforms for their success.

 

The honouring of the Paralympic athletes underscores Governor Otti’s commitment to empowering Abia’s youth and promoting a culture of excellence.

 

The athletes’ impressive performance at the Paralympic Games has showcased Abia’s potential for producing world-class talents.
