Udom Emmanuel Extols Hajia Yar’Adua

Immediate Past Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel, has expressed condolences over the loss of the mother of late President Umar Musa Yar’Adua, Hajiya Binta Dada, describing her as a model in motherhood.

Emmanuel said there is no best time to lose a loved one noting

that in the lifetime of Hajia Dada, she accepted the joys and pains of motherhood with equanimity.

“In good and bad times, she held tenaciously to her belief in the Almighty God and was never shaken.

“This attribute ran through his children, the late Chief of Staff, Supreme Headquarters, Maj-General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua; and the late President Umar Musa Yar’Adua whom, in public offices performed their duties with the fear of God”, Emmanuel said.

The former Akwa Ibom State governor recalled how Hajia Binta Dada in Katsina prayed fervently for him during his presidential contest visit to Katsina.

He commiserated with Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua and the entire family and prayed to God to grant Hajia Binta Dada Yar’Adua eternal rest.
