The All Progressives Congress, APC Ikono Ibom Ward 9, in Ikono Clan, Uyo Local Government Area has recognized one of its indigenes, a United States based health consultant, Obonganwan Idara Enyong as an Elder.

This appointment is sequel to her contributions to ward structure and readiness to promote the party’s ideology of renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu administration.
Receiving the delegation of Enyong who was unavoidably absent due to her engagements on invitation from the presidency to witness the Democracy Day celebration and unveiling of the biggest portrait that won world Guinness Book of Records at Abuja, the ward Chairman, Mr. Aniedi Clement Willie appreciated the entourage to his ward office for the honour and respect.
He said the party was delighted to have Enyong as a pillar in the ward and used the occasion to confer her with the status of an Elder.
Enyong further assured ward 9 people that she will work closely with the present government to attract development to its people. The U.S Health Consultant Obongawan Idara Enyong who was represented by Pastor Iniobong Udom an indigene of Ikot Ekpeyak Ward 9, Uyo Local Government Area, informed the people that Obongawan Enyong will be launching her health and Charity Foundation later this year in Akwa Ibom State to complement the Arise Agenda of the present Government.
In a separate word of thanks Enyong appreciated the present Government in Akwa Ibom State led by His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno for working tirelessly in transforming the State especially in the areas of education, housing, roads, payment of pensions and gratuity and human capital development across the State.
Pastor Iniobong Udom who is the Founder and Chairman Hope for the Nation and Intercessors Network thanked Enyong for sponsoring most of the prayer network programs and projects for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, especially the ongoing prayer program organized by Hope for the Nation and Intercessors Network, Abuja.
Pastor Iniobong told the Ward that it was pertinent for Nigerians to pray for President Tinubu’s government. Aniedie Clement Willie, Who is the Ward Chairman, officially announced to the people an Eldership position of the party to Idara Emyong pending her next visit to the country.
The Ward Chairman thanked her and appreciated her kind gesture and pieces of advice. Prayers were offered to Obonganwan Enyong, Ward 9, Akwa Ibom and Nigeria at large.
