250 Villages Receive 5000 Bags Of Palliative Rice In Ibiono Ibom

Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area witnessed a meticulously organized palliative disbursement process aimed at mitigating the food crises among its indigenes.

A total of 5,000 bags of rice and 500 bags of garri were distributed across the 250 villages.

The distribution was divided stratified along the five zones of the LGA—Eastern, Western, Southern, Northern, and Central to ensure fairness and orderliness.

This zonal approach facilitated an equitable distribution of relief materials, covering each village effectively.

Explaining the exercise, Mrs. Comfort Wilson Udo-Udo, Transition Committee Supervisor for Agriculture, while expressing her gratitude, said,

“I want to thank His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno for the palliative aid provided to the people of Ibiono Ibom.

“We are here to thank him and ask God to guide him and grant him wisdom to continue to lead the people of Akwa Ibom State.”

Mr. Cyril Bassey, Supervisor in Charge of Security, added, “We thank the President His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu and our Governor Pastor Umo Eno for the rice provided to Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area. As government officials, we are committed to ensuring the disbursement process is successful.

Edem Ita Sampson, Youth President of Ibiono, also acknowledged the governor’s efforts: “We thank the governor for remembering the people in these hard times. His continuous support is deeply appreciated.

Village heads, women leaders, youth leaders, and council leaders were present to oversee the distribution.”

Eteidung Nwanaoku Udo, Chairman of Obong Ke Mme Mbong, praised the process, “The distribution is peaceful and well-executed. I thank the governor for the palliative aid. His consistent support is commendable and continues to benefit our community.”

Responding, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Research and Documentation, Dr Essien Ndueso reiterated that the efficient execution of the palliatives highlighted the Governor’s commitment to addressing pressing community needs and providing crucial relief during challenging times.
