Suspected unknown gunmen on Monday evening killed four policemen and a Point of Sale operator on the Ontisha Road area of Owerri, Imo State, Igbere TV has learnt.
According to Chidiebube Okeoma, the on- the – run gunmen opened fire where the cops were doing a-stop- and – search duty at AA Rano and Gbobal fuel stations areas of the Road.
According to him, “four cops and a POS operator was confirmed dead in the attack as the non state actors fled.
The spokesman for the police in the state, Henry Okoye had yet to respond to inquiries concerning the incident.
