Officials of the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) have apprehended illegal waste collectors and seized their carts.
The operation took place at Abule-Egba, Oshodi, Agege, Dopemu and some other parts of the state.
In a post on his X handle on Saturday, Muyiwa Gbadegesin, LAWMA’s managing director, said the “illegal” cart pushers are “destroying the beauty of Lagos”.
He added that the special enforcement unit anti-cartpushers squad, headed by Idowu Sanni, carried out the mission in line with the zero tolerance policy of Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of the state.
