Officers of the Lagos Division of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps recently apprehended a man who allegedly broke into Awoyaya Primary school in Victoria Island while attempting to rape students.
The Head Teacher, one Mrs Okesina reported the incident to Officers of the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Corps who swung into action immediately and apprehended the assailant and handed him to the Maroko Police station for further investigation and possibly prosecution.
In a related incident, one Mr Chidera Ogu (20) of no fixed address has been arrested by Officers of the Lagos Island command of the LNSC while burgling a house.
The man who confessed to the crime and mentioned that he was not operating alone said he had handed over the sum of 350, 000 stolen from the crime scene at Omididun Street to Malik his accomplice.
All attempts to arrest Maliq, his accomplice failed, and the burglar has been handed over to the police for further investigation and possibly prosecution.
