Ex-Konga, CEO Nick Imudia, Allegedly Takes Own Life At Home

Nick Imudia, former CEO of Nigeria’s e-commerce giant Konga, has reportedly died by suicide at his Lekki, Lagos apartment.

Imudia, who was serving as CEO of D.light, a company specializing in solar energy solutions, ended his life on the night of Tuesday, June 25, by jumping from his balcony, according to news reports.

Before his death, Imudia made a series of emotional calls.

He contacted his US-based brother, giving instructions on how to distribute his wealth in case anything happened to him.

He also spoke to his young daughter from a previous relationship, assuring her that he would always be with her and to look at the sky to feel his presence.

His friends, family, and colleagues are left in shock, struggling to understand why Imudia chose to end his life. There were no apparent signs or reasons leading to his decision.

An indigene of Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Imudia had been married twice.

His first marriage, to the mother of his young daughter, ended due to irreconcilable differences. He later married a Caucasian woman, and it seemed he had found happiness again.

Nick Imudia’s career was marked by significant achievements. Before joining Konga, he held prominent positions including Regional Director at TCL/Alcatel and General Manager/Managing Director for West and Central Africa at Microsoft Device and Services.
