Omoyele Sowore has characterized the recent meeting between former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Anambra Governor Peter Obi as a move to bolster criminality within Nigeria’s political sphere.
According to report, Atiku, the People’s Democratic Party candidate in the 2023 presidential election, hosted Obi, who ran under the Labour Party, at his residence on Monday.
This was disclosed in a post made by Atiku on his verified X account. The former vice president also shared pictures of the duo after the meeting.
The post which showed Obi and Atiku exchanging handshakes was captioned, “It was my honour and privilege to host @PeterObi today.”
The meeting between the two politicians has generated mixed reactions from netizens, some of whom noted that Atiku and Obi were trying to unite and form a strong force that would defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.
Giving his reaction, Sowore insinuated that the meeting was not to better the interest of Nigerians.
The former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress described the meeting as a reconciliation between two politicians planning enhance criminality in the country.
Sowore wrote: “Mr. @Peterobi back at the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) Rehab Center with his elder brother @atiku for the enhancement of the Structure of Criminality.”
