The recently appointed Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Salifu Joel Oyibo, garnered attention as he unexpectedly prostrated before the former Governor, Yahaya Bello, during the inauguration of Usman Ododo as the 5th democratically elected governor of the North Central state, as reported by IgbereTV.
A widely circulated video captured the moment Oyibo, following the administration of his oath, bowed in respect not only to Bello but also to other distinguished guests present at the ceremony. In a display of unity, Oyibo’s wife also joined in kneeling before the immediate past governor and his spouse.
Among the notable attendees at the event were Vice President Kashim Shettima, Yahaya Bello’s predecessor, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, and several other prominent members of the party.
