Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has officially designated business tycoon, Dr. Tunji Olowolafe, as the Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti.
This decision is a manifestation of the Governor’s authority within the state and his role as the University’s Visitor.
Dr. Olowolafe, a native of Are-Ekiti, brings a wealth of experience to the role, having transitioned from a medical practitioner to a highly regarded businessman over the course of several decades.
As the Co-founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Managing Director of Deux Project Limited since its establishment in 1988, Dr. Olowolafe has led the company in civil engineering, construction, consultancy, and maintenance. His commendable contributions were further demonstrated through his involvement as a member of the Ekiti State Covid-19 Resource Mobilization Committee.
A graduate of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Dr. Olowolafe briefly practiced medicine before venturing into business. In 1996, he founded Generic Product Limited and currently serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of Deux Investment Limited.
This appointment is effective immediately, underscoring the Governor’s commitment to the ongoing progress and development of Ekiti State University.
