The Labour Party’s 2023 Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, visited the IDP camps in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi LGAs on Saturday to offer condolences following tragic attacks resulting in casualties and displacement.
Expressing deep concern for the displaced Nigerians, Obi deemed the situation unacceptable, urging the government to take immediate action.
In a compassionate gesture, he committed five million naira to both Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi LGAs where the displaced persons sought refuge. Additionally, Obi pledged to appeal to fellow Nigerians for further assistance.
Prior to this, the former Anambra State Governor, accompanied by his Vice-Presidential Candidate from the last general election, Datti Baba-Ahmed, paid respects at the Kano home of the Na’abbas, offering condolences for the loss of their patriarch, ex-House of Reps Speaker Ghalli Umar Na’abba.
