Worsen Insecurity In Cross River State As Kidnappers Attack  Village And Abduct Two Others

Just three days after Mr Akpan Ayanbem was killed by gunmen with four others abducted in Nde three corners village of Ikom LGA of the state on Christmas day ,

Another kidnapping attack is reported to have occurred in the same community which a baby is shut to death and two others abducted.

The early on Thursday 29 December 2023 at about 7:00am, Assailants stormed Nde community again location roughly 200 kilometers from the state capital, Calabar.

According to the report, they abducted a man whose name is not mentioned and shut a baby to death strategically ending it’s life

A source which wishes to remain an anonymous over fear told Leadership news that the incident occured in the same location of the Christmas day attack .

Describing how the gunmen emerged from a near by bush firing indescriminately scaring the people and passing vehicles.

He expressed deep concern about the recurring kidnapping in the same community noting that the Ikom- Ogoja highway seems to be a target point for these criminals .

Corroborating the account the account, Gideon Ebika of Mystery Media Reported that the Village Chief, HRH. Aton Ntom, Engineer Ntom Bassey confirmed the kidnapping and the killing of the Baby, and abduct a man and a woman.
