It was particularly a moment of pure joy and happiness at Umudanagbado Kindred in Umuazu Village of Nise Community on Thursday, 28th Dec 2023 as Indigenes received aid and business empowerment funds worth millions of naira in an empowerment campaign organised by the N.G.O owned by NEWSTEAD Boss, Evang Dr.Chinedum Obue in conjunction with the town union leadership.
The beneficiaries were selected through series of parameters set by the organisers of which there emerged 12 businesses which received funding worth hundreds of thousands of naira each.
During a short interview, the Evangelist encouraged all well meaning indigenes who are well to do, to come together in partnership ahead of the 2024 empowerment campaign, to extend the aid to a larger number of persons from the community as this will reduce/eradicate poverty and give opportunity for capacity building within the community.
The joy and excitement from the people could not be hid as this was affirmed to be the first of its kind in not just the kindred but Nise community.
Special appreciation to the CHINEDUM OBUE FOUNDATION for trailblazing this path to posterity as this gesture will not only encourage hardwork and resourcefulness but will ultimately broaden the entrepreneurial horizon of Nise Community within the coming years.
Special guest of honour at the event was High Chief, Barr. Anthony Nwabuona (President General, Nise Town Union) alongside several other delegates from the Nise town Union.
