The late Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu’s enduring legacy remains indelible, affirmed Governor Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State during a condolence visit to the Akeredolu Family in Ibadan.

The Governor emphasized that Akeredolu’s impactful contributions are visible not only across the state but resonate nationally.

Governor Aiyedatiwa fondly characterized his late mentor as a sincere, courageous, selfless, and patriotic leader who ardently advocated for his constituents, spearheaded developmental initiatives, and left an indelible mark on countless lives.

In a poignant tribute, Aiyedatiwa reflected on the former Governor’s compassionate nature as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He expressed gratitude for the rare privilege of serving under Akeredolu’s tutelage.

Emphasizing the profound loss to Ondo State, the Southwest region, and Nigeria, Governor Aiyedatiwa reiterated Akeredolu’s commitment to a peaceful, fair, and just society—a dedication that will forever echo in the collective memory.

He noted that the legacies of Late Akeredolu will continue to reverberate in his invaluable contributions to the socio-economic and infrastructural development of Ondo State, the growth of the Anglican Church and the reforms in the legal profession in Nigeria.

The Governor emphasized that Akeredolu completed and fulfilled his mission on earth and was blessed with wonderful children that can sustain his good name.

Responding on behalf of the Akeredolu Family, the younger brother of the deceased, Pastor Kola Akeredolu, thanked the delegation led by Governor Aiyedatiwa for the thoughtful visit.

Prayers were offered for the Akeredolu Family while Governor Aiyedatiwa led others to the signing of the condolence register.
