The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Osun State Command, has decorated 746 newly promoted officers.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Command’s spokesperson, Adeleke Kehinde and obtained by IgbereTV on Saturday.
The Osun NSCDC Commandant, Agboola Sunday, while decorating the newly promoted officers at the headquarters in Osogbo, described the promotion as an award of excellence, dedication, hard work, loyalty and discipline.
Agboola appealed to the newly promoted officers to see their promotion as another step in their career.
He lauded the Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and the Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi for approving the promotions.
He said they have made an indelible mark on the Corps which would be difficult for anyone to surpass.
He also urged the newly promoted officers to justify the promotion.
“I charge you to imbibe selflessness in the discharge of your duties. Increase your efforts in combating crimes and to make Osun state safer for the general public.
“I also encourage those who did not benefit in the promotion exercise not to be deterred. Continue to work hard and be hopeful that your own promotion would arrive in due course,” he said
