Police Deploy Operatives To Worship, Recreational Centres In Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has taken proactive measures to enhance public safety during the festive season by deploying personnel to worship centers, recreational venues, and other public spaces.

In a statement released on Thursday, Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the Command, revealed that this deployment was initiated under the directive of FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Haruna Garba.

Adeh explained that Commissioner Garba conducted a meeting with Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers in the FCT, urging them to ensure a crime-free environment throughout the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Emphasizing a commitment to global best practices, Garba instructed the commanders to employ intelligence-led and visible policing strategies, aiming to crackdown on criminal elements across the entire territory.
