POS Operators Hike Charges As Naira Scarcity Persists

Point of Sales operators Pos in Lagos state have hiked charges by 100 per cent deu to persistence scarcity of Naira notes .

According the the POS Operators trying to justify the hike in charges said it’s deu to their inability to to get cash easily from Banks.

The point of Sales operators, POS in Lagos as at the 12th of December, 2023 increase the transaction charges by 100 per cent following the naira notes scarcity.

They further claimed that they were paying for additional cost to get cash for their businesses.

They however feared that 100 percent hike could be a child’s play if compare to what might be experienced if naira scarcity persists.

The charges which use to #100 and #200 for 5,000 and 10,000 is now 200 naira per #5,000 and 400 nair for 10, 000 respectively.

According the POS Operators , “we approach fuel stations and supper markets for cash at and additional cost which we have to infused into the charges ”

So disappointing, most Automated teller machines in banks are not despensing cash while the few that do had crowded population of customers scrambling to withdraw cash.
