JUST IN!!! High Cost Of Rice To Reduce In Christmas

Experts believe president Tinubu’s directives in July is going to ripple effect on prices of food stuff on December.

Recall that the during broadcast in July , the president acknowledged the high cost of food stuffs price in the country.

To this effect he ordered the release of 200,000 metric tonnes of rice and order grains from strategic reserve to households across the 36states and FCT moderate prices

The president also ordered the cultivation of 150,000 hectare of of rice with the budgeted 50billion he earmarked from the 500billion approved by the National Assembly to cushion the impact of fuel subceedy removal.

Depending on the variety of of rice cultivated, Report says , it takes between 3 to 6 months for a rice plant to reach maturity.

Five months after Tinubu’s directives and the report about the commencement of rice cultivation in mid July, some Analysts have posited that the high cost of food commodities would drastically reduce before the Christmas celebration as harvest begins.

During a Television broadcast in July , the president had said, ” I have ordered the release of 200,000 metric tonnes of grains from strategic reserve to households across the country the 36 states and FCT in moderate prices.

“We have also approved 225,000 metric tonnes of fertilizer, seedlings and other Agriculture products.

“200billion out of the 500billion approved by the National Assembly will be disbursed as federal government.

” 50billion each to be invested to cultivation of 100,000 hectare of wheats and cassava “
