EPL: Cascarino slams Ten Hag for starting out-of-form Man United attacker

Former Chelsea striker, Tony Cascarino has hit out at Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag for starting out-of-form attacker, Anthony Martial over Rasmus Hojlund against Bournemouth.

Man United recently lost 3-0 against Bournemouth in a Premier League tie at Old Trafford over the weekend.

Ten Hag opted to start Martial ahead of Hojlund in his attacking line.

However, Martial failed to make an impact against Bournemouth and was replaced in the second half by Hojlund.

Speaking about Ten Hag’s decision to start Martial, Cascarino told The Times: “What more is there to say about Manchester United? There is so much wrong at that club, with nothing left of the great old winning machine.

There are so many things I’d like to ask Erik ten Hag but chief among them would probably be: why on earth is Anthony Martial still starting games?

“Were they resting Rasmus Hojlund with one eye on Bayern Munich on Tuesday? If so, that is madness. Ten Hag doesn’t have that luxury. United is a sinking ship and needs all hands at the pump.”
