UN Reacts To Kaduna Bombing, Sends Message To Nigerian Army

The Nigerian military has been advised by the United Nations to reevaluate its rules of engagement in order to prevent a repeat of that attack that killed multiple civilians in kuduna state Hamlet.

Reports have it earlier that it’s one of the largest military bombing accident on the history of the nation which occured when when a Nigerian Army drone intended for armed group inadvertently killed civilians on Kaduna state.

The United Nations Human Right office condemned this event in its office on Wednesday 6th December, 2023, noting that it was the most recent of atleast four attacks that caused significant casualties since 2017.

The spoke person , for the United Nation human Rights office Magango
advised Nigerian military to reevaluate it’s rules engagement .

Magango said” while we note that the Authorities have termed the civilians death as accidental , we call on them to take all feasible steps in the future to safe all civilians and civilians’ infrastructures are protected.

“They must reveal rules of engagement and standard operating procedures to ensure that such do not happen again.

“There are serious concern as to whether so – called pattern of life strikes sufficiently complies with international law.

Magango called on Nigeria Authorities to to thoroughly investigate all alledge violations of international human rights.
