Cher shared her ultimate advice for women.
The 77-year-old singer spoke candidly about what every woman should do at least once in her lifetime on Friday’s “Chicken Soup Date” with host Amelia Dimordenberg.
She said, “Date younger men.”
Cher, who is dating 37-year-old Alexander Edwards, discussed her romance with the music mogul and revealed that their romance began with an e-mail.
The Grammy winner said: “I left to go to Switzerland and he texted me, “Where are you going?” I texted him, ‘Where are you going? He asked me, ‘Where are you going? I said, ‘I’m going to Switzerland. ‘ I said, ‘Well, have a good rest,’ and I got a text with three Y’s on it.
I thought, ‘He doesn’t know me well enough to put three Y’s on a babe. I was a little angry. Then he started texting me.
She explained that she had no intention of falling for someone 40 years younger than her.
I told my friends that I shouldn’t fall in love with someone younger than me, that we were too old. She told me not to fall in love with him when he texted me. I told him not to fall in love even if he texted me,” Cher continued.
Cher revealed that Edwards bought her a ring that she “wears all the time.”
The two met at Paris Fashion Week in fall 2022 and hit it off after “about 15 minutes.”
They reportedly broke up in May 2023, but got back together a few months later.
Cher admits that she is crazy about him, “We are both attracted to each other.”
