The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, conveyed his surprise on Friday, November 24, regarding the monthly salaries totaling N8.9 billion for the FCT Administration staff.
Despite facing resistance, Wike asserted his commitment to initiating a staff audit to verify this substantial figure.
In a live broadcast from his office, the minister revealed that the FCTA currently employs 38 thousand staff members.
Additionally, Wike addressed the issue of insecurity in the territory, emphasizing a fearless and impartial approach to its resolution.
He further announced that President Bola Tinubu is set to commission numerous projects within the FCT in the near future.
