Nigeria Premier Football League club Sporting Lagos has announced a partnership with Miva Open University.
The move, according to the club, is to enhance their players’ education while pursuing their football careers.
The names of the players who will combine football and education will be revealed later by the club.
Sporting Lagos was formed last year by Nigerian entrepreneur Shola Akinlade.
The modest side gained promotion to the NPFL from the Nigeria National League (NNL) last season.
The club has made an appreciable impact in their debut season in the Nigerian top flight
