The Chairman/Secretary General of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa has warned Nigerians against illegal travel abroad.
Dabiri-Erewa offered this advice when she visited Nigerians at a shelter in Brampton, Canada. He expressed his sympathy for them and urged others planning to travel without proper documentation to delay as the situation in many countries worsens. “It’s not worth it and not often,” Ereva said.
In a statement by NIDCOM spokesperson Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Vivian Eruka, who runs Bethel Food Bank and works with people in shelters, said Brampton’s mayor has promised to create 800 additional beds and shelters. Available for asylum seekers.
