Days after news of the suicide of the “Mama calm down” boy’s mother, Toluige Olokobi, was shared online, the Edo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of her husband.
Edo State Police Command spokesperson Chidi Nwabuzor told BBC Pidgin on Thursday, November 9 that the husband of the deceased has been arrested and is being detained for questioning. The woman’s body was placed in the mortuary.
Nwabuzor said;
‘He alerted his neighbors, who followed him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He is still in police custody and will soon be transferred to the state police for further investigation”.
