Nig Tourism Dev Authority Appoints Queen Joy Ekekwe as Ambassador

The Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA) has in a notable development designated Queen Joy Ekekwe as the official Tourism Ambassador, promising to enhance the promotion of Nigeria’s heritage and tourist treasures.

This comes as a significant stride in the partnership between the federal government and the Miss Tourism Organization.

On Thursday, the Federal office of the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA) welcomed Queen Joy Ekekwe into its ranks as their official Tourism Ambassador. Chief Folorunsho Coker, the Director-General of NTDA, led the ceremony in which her role was formally endorsed.

For the newly appointed Tourism Ambassador, this esteemed position signifies not only a personal honor but also a significant responsibility towards the Miss Tourism Organization and the entire QHUE concept group. This role will foster a deeper collaboration between the federal government and the Miss Tourism pageant, aiming to jointly promote Nigeria, its rich heritage, diverse people, and captivating tourist destinations.

The official endorsement was a momentous occasion, marked by the presence of key figures from the Ministry. Chief Folorunsho Coker, at the center of attention, joined by prominent individuals, including Mrs. Funebi Otu-Umondak, the Head of Legal Matters, and Mr. Friday Anumba, the Director. On the far left, Mrs. Celina, Head of Promotions and Marketing, was present, alongside Ambassador Dr. Chelsea Onwudinjor, the newly appointed Tourism Ambassador’s amiable manager and friend.

During this significant gathering, the new Tourism Ambassador was presented with the prestigious NTDA Ambassadorial plaque, signifying her role in promoting the beauty of Nigeria to the world. Several made-in-Nigeria souvenirs were also shared during the meeting. Moreover, the Ambassador had the privilege of autographing a copy of her investment book, “INVESTMENT IS THE NEW FLEX,” which was presented to Chief Folorunsho Coker. She also introduced her beef jerky brand, @heldiproducts, to further enhance the collaboration.

Queen Joy Ekekwe, the newly appointed Tourism Ambassador, expressed profound gratitude to Chief Folorunsho Coker and the entire NTDA for this remarkable honor. She pledged to use this platform to amplify Nigeria’s positive image on the global stage, guided by her dedicated team at the Miss Tourism Organization.
