League One side, Peterborough United’s Chairman, Darragh MacAnthony, has urged Arsenal to sign Brentford’s Ivan Toney in the January transfer window.
MacAnthony believes Toney is technically good and will make Arsenal win the Premier League title this season.
He said the Gunners should have signed the England striker in the summer instead of Kai Havertz.
Toney joined Brentford in 2020 and has registered 68 goals and 21 assists in 124 games for the Bees.
He is currently serving an eight-month ban he received in May for breaching gambling regulations.
Toney will be back in action in January.
“Arsenal, instead of Havertz, should have bought him (Toney) in August. Ivan Toney guarantees them the title.
“If Arsenal are top of the league in January, and if they sign Ivan Toney, it is guaranteed they will win the title.
“Technically, he is unbelievable,” MacAnthony told talkSPORT (as quoted by HITC).
His current deal with Brentford will expire in 2025
