PDP Governors Publicly Endorse President Tinubu

 

After an emergency meeting of PDP governors held last night at the Akwa Ibom State Governor’s lodge, in the wake of the political crisis in Rivers State, Governor Bala Mohammed, Chairman of PDP’s Governors Forum, addressed the press and made the following points:

 

(1) They commended President Tinubu for his leadership role in addressing the crisis in River State

(2) They congratulated the President for winning his tribunal case

 

(3) They appreciated the President for the professional manner the judiciary conducted itself, considering that PDP governors all won their cases at the tribunal without interference from the President.

 

(4) They mentioned that President Tinubu had shown he was a president for everybody, a president for PDP and APC, and mentioned he did not use his sledge hammer to extricate them from the scheme of things.

 

(5) They pledged to work with President Tinubu to bring good governance to the people of Nigeria.

 

10 out of 13 PDP Governors attended the meeting, including Governors Bala Mohammed of Bauchi, Sim Fubara of Rivers, Dauda Lawal Dare of Zamfara, Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Godwin Obaseki of Edo, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa, Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta, Ademola Adeleke of Osun, Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau and Kefas Agbu of Taraba. The deputy governor of Enugu State also attended.
