Suspected suicide bomber have blown oil installations at the maritime border area of Bakassi Peninsula killing several persons including Joint Border Forces of Nigeria and Cameroon, according to report.
It is yet unknown the number of casualties involved in the incidence.
An eye witness who escaped from the scene said the attacker came down from a canoe boat putting on helmet like an oil worker and gained himself into the major part of the installations before the bomb exploded and got into flames.
Meanwhile, authorities in Cameroon have expressed worry over the incidence as men of the Rapid d’intervention Battalions, BIR, have taken over the area.
Fingers have pointed at a Biafra loyalist group the Dragon Fighter Marine who has been carrying out bomb attacks in Bakassi.
