The gunman, suspected of being a herdsmen, killed a newlyweds identified as Maren Amos Ishaku in the Bokkos regional government area of the Plateau state.
According to one d’yong Mangut, the deceased, who married 1 month ago, was shot dead on Saturday, 2023, when he went to the farm to carry his harvested corn home on 10/28.
“How cheap life can be in this country. We got married about a month ago. I went to his farm yesterday and transported the harvested corn to his house, only to be killed by the nomads. l it rained a bullet on him. There is no conscience. Another friend said he met the deceased on his way to the farm yesterday.
“Haba Maren Amos Ishaku, Haba, I met u yesterday morning on your way to the farm, I also jokingly ask you to follow u, I can’t believe it’s the last smile I’m c from uuuuu I can’t see you anymore When I heard the bad news this morning, my heart aches. Ur killer will not find peace. It’s so hard to say goodbye. I pray u fine eternal rest nd peace as well. I will miss uuuuuu forever,” he wrote.
