Rita Daniels, the mother of actress Regina Daniels, has assumed the role of Senior Special Adviser for Women Mobilization and Empowerment under the administration of Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori.
This noteworthy appointment was officially unveiled by Rita herself in a statement shared on her Instagram account on a Tuesday.
The statement enthusiastically declared that Mrs. Daniels is poised to leverage her extensive years of experience to provide impactful and effective service in her newly appointed office.
“Delta State Governor Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has appointed a Women rights advocate, Chief Mrs Rita Daniels Chukwuji as his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Women Mobilization & Empowerment.
“Rita Daniels who recently bagged her degree in law has over the years remained consistence in advancing the welfare and development of women. Before her appointment, she was the leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Women Wing. As a technocrat, it is believed that she would bring to bear her years of experience in delivering effective service in her office.
“She equally played a key role in mobilizing women’s support for her party the PDP during the governorship election.
“Apart from enjoying the support of Delta women, she is also popular in all Igbo-speaking states by the virtue of her closeness to the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
“She has since expressed her profound gratitude to the Governor for finding her worthy of this strategic position, assuring that she would give in her best to promote the State,” the statement read.
Rita was also congratulated by her daughter who penned down a heartfelt message on Instagram to celebrate her mother’s appointment.
She wrote: “Congratulations nnem oma @rita.daniels06 on your well-deserved appointment as the (SSA) senior special assistant to the governor of delta state on women mobilization. Your hard work and persistence over the years will continue to yield good fruits IJN my queen. @rita.daniels06 I strongly believe this is the beginning of more greatness nnem oma.”
