Five people have been killed in Ayilamo, a village in Benue State’s Logo Local Government, by gunmen who are thought to be herdsmen.
The incident was confirmed by State Police Command spokesman Sewuese Anene, who stated that the attack took place on Wednesday night, October 18, 2023.
The PPRO said, “A few others sustained injuries.”.
In the Gwer-West Local Government, she added, there was another attack in the Mbachohon community; however, she did not have any information about the incident.
Six people were reportedly killed in the Mbachohon attack, according to unverified reports.
Anene stated, “The attacks are regrettable; more security personnel are being sent to the areas to restore peace.”.
