The leaders of several government organizations housed within the Ministry of Information have been fired by President Bola Tinubu
This was revealed in a statement released on Thursday, October 19, by Ajuri Ngelali, the President’s Special Advisor on Media Publicity.
The Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Shehu Illelah, and the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria, Buki Ponle, were among those let go.
These recently appointed agency heads are:.
Mr. Lanre Issa-Onilu is the Director-General and CEO of the National Orientation Agency (NOA).
Director-General/CEO of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN): Dr. Muhammad Bulama.
Chief Executive Officer and Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) is Mr. Charles Ebuebu.
Mr. Jibrin Baba Ndace is the Director-General and CEO of Voice of Nigeria (VON).
Dr. Lekan Fadolapo is the CEO and director-general of the Advertising Regulation Council of Nigeria (ARCON).
Managing Director/CEO of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) is Mr. Dot Ali Muhammad Ali.
Mr. Dili Ezughah is the Executive Secretary and CEO of the Nigerian Press Council (NPC).
The tenure of Mr. Dot Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos, the Director-General and CEO of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), has been extended.
According to the statement, “The President tasks the newly entrusted leadership in these important sub-sectors to innovate and create new opportunities for Nigerians to leverage upon through the effective reform of these key institutions of government which function to unify our people, reshape mindsets, and showcase this great nation to the rest of the world.”.
Ngelali stated that the appointments are effective right away
