Body Of the Late Supreme Court Justice Centus Chima Nweze Arrives Enugu For valedictory Court Session

The body of the late Centus Nweze, a former justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, has arrived in Enugu for a valedictory court session in his honour. Nweze died in July,2023.

The valedictory court session held at the High Court Complex, Enugu and was attended by members of the Bar and Bench.

Nweze, who was born on 25th September, 1958 was appointed as a justice of the Supreme Court on the 29th of October, 2014. He served in the apex court for almost a decade, until his death.

During his time on the bench, Nweze was known for his erudite judgments and contributions to the development of jurisprudence in Nigeria. He was also a prominent advocate for the promotion of human rights and access to justice.

The valedictory court session is seen as an opportunity to honour the late justice for his contributions to the legal profession and the justice system in Nigeria.
